The happiest season on earth is fast approaching. In the Philippines, the longest celebration of Christmas started since last month. A lot of my friends kept on asking me if I have a Christmas wish list. For the past two years, I became busy at work as a homebased content writer. I hope that I could took a well-deserved vacation after the stress I’ve been going through for several months already.
It’s been a long time that I gave gifts to my mom, two sisters, brother and a lovable niece. Mom loves to cook and I want her to have cooking set. With my two fashionable sisters, Michelle and Anna who loves to flaunt the latest trends, I want them to have a pair of Converse’s Chuck Taylor which I am an avid collector. JM, my 30-year-old geek brother who fascinated with gadgets and music, I want to give him a sleek Beats by Dre music gear that I’m sure he will love it. Lastly, to my lovely niece, Charlize, she recently adores My Little Pony stuff, I want to have one of those toys that she kept on asking me to buy for her.
Just several weeks ago, I was touched by an old man whenever I saw him seated nearby the tricycle terminal in our area everyday. I was moved through his gesture when he smiled back at me everytime I had a chance to give him foods that I bought after doing errands, got teary eyed upon learning that his wife died due to cancer and he’s been asking for alms for two years already.
This Christmas, I want to share my blessings to the needy by having a simple gathering in an orphanage, and help the old man to contact his relatives.
