Last Sept. 14, GCash in partnership with Mercato Centrale rolls out the first QR mobile payments service. For those who love to visit the said food market, you can now enjoy hassle-free cashless transaction.
One of the great things about the newest feature on GCash app is that you can use it via the app and pay for your food and drinks by scanning QR codes which are located at Mercato Centrale BGC merchants. You don’t need to worry bringing money, waiting for a change or getting dispute with the cashier regarding payments.
A lot of you wondering how to load up your GCash. They have over 12,000 GCash Partner outlets nationwide which includes Globe Stores, SM Business Centers, Puregold branches, Robinsons Business Centers, 7-Eleven Cliqq kiosks and TouchPay kiosks.
I was amazed when I did several transactions around Mercato. Tap out the app, scan the QR code, and send the amount that I need to pay. Voila…I don’t need to bring my wallet. Great selection of food and drinks to choose from while hanging out with my blogger friends.
According to Mercato Centrale co-founder RJ Ledesma, it will also be implemented in Mercato Glorietta and 2 new branches will be open soon. Also, if you visit Mercato, you’ll get 10% cashback until Sept.30.
